Surprise!!!

Well, today we were in for quite a surprise in class.  I looked up, and who do I see strolling in?  None other than BEN FRANKLIN himself.  Who knew???  I need to get some of that miracle serum!  Mr. Franklin proceeded to hand out pocket Constitutions to the entire class.  Always handy to have!
Seeing Ben was a great experience for me.  I mean, it was very cool to see Ben and all, but it really shows how much of an impact a little role play can have on any class.  Ben was ready, willing, and able to answer any and all questions we had for him.  I loved that he made the connection for us between the Boston Tea Party from so long ago and the Tea Party that is in the news these days. 
Seeing Ben in the flesh made me realize what an impact we can have on our students if we have the guts to mix it up for our students.  Thank you Ben!
