Inquiry Lessons Here We Come!

Next up was Angela, Faith, and Meagan's inquiry based lesson plan for the 5th grade students at Bishop Dunn.  They came up with a great idea!  They had the students go on a treasure hunt!

They started the lesson with a quick review of Columbus from the previous lesson.  This was a great way to make the connection between last week and this week's lesson.
After this team explained what a treasure hunt was and what the students would be doing, each team was given a brown treasure hunt bag that was filled with clues so they could complete a newspaper article.

The team even included a real gold coin in each bag from Angela's dads authentic coin collection.  How cool is that!

This team's lesson today did a great job of taking facts and concepts and making them into a fun interactive way for students to learn.  Excellent job!
